Our Family Story
My name is Bridgette Guest. I have been married to the most wonderful man, Chad Guest, for twenty-plus years. We have two beautiful children Isabella, and Mason . We also currently have legal custody of Braylon and Libby, who have brought a whole new element to our family! Our family was neither an adoptive family nor a foster home, but in the Lord's sovereign plan that is exactly where we found ourselves. Because I was a children's minister and my husband a policeman, which meant we had been extensively background checked, the two children were placed on a short assignment with us until a foster home could be located. The Lord drew the days out and there were so many hard lessons learned. We have come to see the very deep pain and tragedy in the adoption process, as well as the sweetness of God's mercies and provisions. I am reminded of the verse "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." Genesis 50:20 (NIV)
